The thought process for lesson planning

As a person who supports STEM for all, I recognize the need for solid lesson planning if we are to have “Ambitious Teaching.” Thus, teachers must learn how to create lessons that promote intellectual student engagement and thinking, as well as, provide room for student voice. The slide show below assists teachers in understanding one process of lesson┬áplanning using the standards as the guide (NOT the textbook unit or lesson objective).

Additionally, it includes a visual model to assist you in understanding rigor as higher-order thinking along with defining different methods of assessing learning so that you can allow students to show what they know.
